Bring a listenable example to a focused troubleshooting question
Reddit Audiogram Maker
A useful sound comparison lets other people hear the same sequence you are asking about. Preserve the setup, label it plainly, and separate what you notice from what the recording can prove.
Start with the Audiogram Maker for Reddit to turn local audio into an MP4. Choose the relevant community and inspect its available video controls separately; this maker does not submit a post.
Ask about an audible difference rather than a winning result
Imagine a keyboard hobbyist comparing a spacebar before and after reseating its keycap. In this hypothetical example, one continuous recording includes both short tapping sequences and a spoken cue: First is before reseating. Second is after. I hear less rattle on the right, but I am not sure the recording captures it. The useful Reddit question is whether listeners hear a difference in the same place. It is not a claim that the modification fixes every keyboard. An audiogram supplies a playable sound example and a simple visual frame, while the accompanying post explains the limited test conditions.
Write down what changed and what stayed the same. For this example, the keycap was reseated, the microphone remained in place, and the same key was tapped in roughly the same way. If the microphone moved between passes, include that fact instead of presenting the comparison as controlled. The maker cannot verify the setup from the recording. It cannot determine whether a sound comes from the keycap, stabilizer, desk, or microphone handling. Give readers enough information to offer a useful interpretation without making them guess which parts of the setup were different during the two sequences.
Keep one answerable question in view. Asking whether the right side still rattles gives listeners a specific thing to check. Asking for a complete keyboard diagnosis invites conclusions that the short recording may not support. You can describe your own impression while leaving room for disagreement. A good title and a clean clip make the question easier to inspect, but neither turns it into objective measurement. Decide whether a sound example is actually necessary before making the video. If the issue is only a missing model number or a loose visible part, a concise written description may answer it more directly.
Prepare a source that already contains the comparison
The maker works from an existing local audio file. It does not record the microphone, join two separate takes, extract audio from a video, or fetch a remote clip. For the keyboard example, prepare the before sequence, spoken separator, and after sequence as one coherent audio source before opening it here. If that source needs editing, the Audio Trimmer can be a separate step for a suitable cut. Do not imply that saving an audio file elsewhere transfers it automatically. Select the actual resulting file through Choose audio and listen to confirm the order yourself.
A source must be audio only, no larger than 32 MiB, at most 180 seconds long, and mono or stereo. Actual decoding depends on the browser and the codec inside the file, not only its extension. Keep the unmodified recording in your own folder so you can return to it if someone asks about the setup. The maker prepares working audio at 48 kHz and may resample it. That processing does not improve a poor microphone position or make two differently recorded passes directly comparable. Better source conditions are more valuable than an elaborate explanation added after the sound is captured.
Play the original manually before selecting an excerpt. Confirm that first really introduces the before pass and second introduces the after pass. A mistaken spoken label is more confusing than a missing visual flourish. Listen for an interruption that could mask the comparison, such as moving the keyboard or brushing the microphone between passes. If the interruption matters, keep it in the notes or make a cleaner recording elsewhere. Load example contains original synthesized tones for testing the tool; it is not a keyboard reference and should not be presented as a real before and after recording.
Keep the separator and enough repetitions to judge
Assume the useful comparison in this hypothetical source runs from 6 to 44 seconds. Enter those values in Start time (s) and End time (s) for a thirty eight second selection. The one to sixty second interval is a limit of this maker, not a Reddit video rule. Include the spoken separator because otherwise the change from the first sequence to the second may be unclear. Do not expect the animation to label the switch automatically. It reflects sound activity, so it cannot know that one group of taps represents a different keycap position from the group that follows.
Keep a few reasonably similar taps from each pass rather than only the most dramatic tap from each. A single unusually hard press can suggest a difference that does not represent the rest of the recording. This is an editorial fairness choice, not a statistical test performed by the tool. If the source contains very different tapping patterns, describe that limitation instead of calling the comparison matched. Keep a small pause between the passes when it helps listeners reset their attention. The maker cannot remove a pause inside the selected interval without a separate source edit, and a useful separator is worth keeping.
Check the exact edges with your ears. Starting halfway through the word before can make the first label ambiguous, while ending during the final key release can remove the sound under discussion. An empty End takes the prepared source all the way to its end, including any extra handling noise. Use an explicit endpoint when you need a bounded comparison. Invalid ranges are rejected rather than silently corrected. If your desired continuous comparison is longer than sixty seconds, make a shorter source sequence or choose a smaller question instead of assuming the export will stretch to fit the full recording.
Label the setup without putting private notes on screen
Use a descriptive Headline such as Spacebar rattle before and after reseating. Small label could say Same keyboard, two passes, and Footer line could read Listen for the right-side rattle. Put a byline only where attribution helps. The fields are plain single line text with limits of eighty characters for the headline, forty for the small label, and sixty each for byline and footer. Do not paste the entire equipment list into them. Save detailed switch, microphone, distance, and room notes for the post, where readers can inspect them without reducing the main artwork to tiny text.
Start with Square at 720 by 720 pixels for this compact comparison label. Ink can keep the visual treatment neutral, while Forest, Violet, Rose, or Ocean offer alternatives if their contrast suits the text. Landscape at 1280 by 720 and Portrait at 720 by 1280 are also available. These are preparation choices, not community-specific layouts or a guarantee that every Reddit surface displays them identically. The maker has no photograph, keyboard diagram, or logo upload. If the question depends on seeing a loose part, this sound-led visual may not be the right evidence for that part of the discussion.
Inspect every authored field for information you do not intend to share. A username in Byline is output content, not a private project label. The same is true of a purchase reference or an email address typed in Footer line. Keep the artwork focused on the comparison, and keep personal bookkeeping elsewhere. Move Preview time across both tapping sequences and the separator to check that the visual hierarchy stays calm. The slider inspects the design only and does not save a special playback point in settings. It also cannot replace an actual review of the encoded video after creation.
Keep a sound example separate from account operations

Do not let gain become an unfair comparison edit
Begin with Level (dB) at zero. Because the selected source contains both passes, one gain adjustment affects them together. This can help keep their relationship intact, but it does not prove that the original recording conditions were matched. Do not describe a louder second pass as quieter simply because its tone feels softer. State what you notice in ordinary language and let others hear the sequence. If the voice cue is much quieter than the taps, the maker does not have separate controls to balance those sections. Prepare a clearer source elsewhere when the cue cannot be heard comfortably.
The available gain range is minus twenty four to plus twelve decibels. Raising the value also raises background noise and any handling transients. If the selected processed sample peak exceeds full scale before AAC encoding, creation is refused until the level is lowered. This is not a limiter, automatic normalization, or compression. Lowering the level may avoid that refusal, but it will not undo distortion already recorded by the microphone. Keep the distinction in your post if recording quality affects the question. A quieter exported file is not evidence that the physical keyboard itself became quieter between the original passes.
Use Fade-in (s) and Fade-out (s) only at the outer edges of the complete excerpt. They do not add a crossfade between the two tapping sequences. Each linear fade may run from zero to ten seconds, and overlapping fade regions are invalid. For this example, no fade may be best if the recording begins and ends cleanly. If a short fade is needed, make sure it does not suppress the first or last tap you want people to compare. Check both boundaries again after any timing change, because a fade that was harmless before can now cover useful sound.
Treat the bars as a visual companion, not a test result
The waveform shows windowed sample peaks from the selected processed PCM audio. The tool prepares one hundred peak bins per second and displays forty eight bars across a two second window centered on the current video time. With stereo, the greatest absolute sample value across the channels is used for the peak view. That combined display does not reveal which side of the keyboard produced a tap. At the start and finish, positions outside the selected sound use zero. The result is a moving summary of amplitude activity, not an automatically labeled chart comparing your two physical setups.
A taller bar can mean a stronger recorded transient, but it cannot establish that a stabilizer is loose. The display does not analyze a frequency spectrum, recognize the spoken labels, locate individual words, or measure LUFS. It also does not certify true peak level or perceived loudness. Two rattles with similar peak height may sound quite different, while different microphone distances may change the apparent size of similar taps. Describe the animation as following the sound, not as detecting the fault. The useful evidence remains the audible recording, its stated conditions, and the limited question you ask other people to consider.
Do not make listeners infer the sequence only from that motion. Repeat the before and after order in the surrounding post, and provide accurate words for the spoken separator where needed. If you have existing timed text, the Subtitle Editor can help review it against the completed cut. A separate Add Subtitles to Video workflow can use supplied captions for a captioned version. This maker does not transcribe the cue or automatically pass a project to either tool. Finish the comparison timing before preparing captions so the labels refer to the actual video people will receive.
Listen to the encoded comparison before sharing it
Choose Create video to produce the actual MP4. It uses H.264 video and AAC audio, targeting twenty four frames per second with 128 kbps audio at 48 kHz, while retaining mono or stereo. Browser codec support is required, and an unavailable required audio path should cause a clear failure rather than a silent video. The original source stays unchanged. After creation, play the MP4 manually and listen to both passes without adjusting your device volume halfway through. Confirm that the spoken separator and the end of each key release remain audible in the encoded result, not just in the original player.
AAC is lossy, so subtle textures may differ from the source. If the discussion depends on a faint rattle, compare the saved video with the original and say when the difference is hard to judge. The maker is not an audio measurement instrument. A pre-encoding sample-peak check does not certify decoded LUFS or true peaks. The MP4 container duration can also vary slightly from the requested interval because of the final frame or AAC padding. Review the audible content rather than treating a small timing difference as proof that a whole tap is missing or an extra comparison pass was added.
Download the approved MP4 and the settings JSON separately. Keep your own source file because the JSON does not contain audio or its original filename. The actual encoded first frame PNG is a still reference, not the comparison itself. A PDF can include the actual encoded midpoint frame, complete settings, and review information, with structured attachments but no original media. CSV, TXT, or copied review notes can support a collaborator handoff. Inspect those documents before sharing: visible output text and a waveform can still disclose the subject of the post even when the report contains no playable recording.
Give the community the question and the recording conditions
Open the intended Reddit community and inspect the post composer before planning the final handoff. Reddit documents that available media options depend on the community. If video is offered, attach the downloaded MP4 and review the result there. Write a descriptive post title that names the comparison rather than promising a repair. In the body, state the keyboard setup, what changed, the before and after order, and any microphone movement. Finish with the single question about the right-side rattle. This keeps the video useful as evidence inside a discussion instead of making it a substitute for all the missing setup details.
If someone suggests another test, treat its recording as a new version. A valid new audio source keeps design choices but resets timing, gain, and fades; review them rather than reusing old numbers by habit. Imported settings keep the current audio and reject mismatched ranges instead of clamping them. Any edit invalidates earlier generated outputs, so a revised headline requires a fresh video too. Save clear version names in your own project folder. The tool does not manage a library of comparison takes, identify which file a saved recipe needs, or attach a later recording to an earlier Reddit discussion for you.
Save the video, recipe, and any useful notes before leaving the page. Working media is cleaned up on page hide, and Restore audio only helps when a cached file remains available and you explicitly choose to restore it. Reloading requires selecting the source again. Return to the discussion with observations that the next recording can actually answer, rather than treating agreement in replies as a measurement. SMTasker may support separate ongoing account routines, but this maker does not host the recording, submit a Reddit post, or automatically import the MP4 into an account workflow. Your reviewed local files are the handoff.
Questions about Reddit
Can I combine two keyboard recordings inside the maker?
No. It accepts one existing audio source and selects one continuous interval. Prepare a combined comparison elsewhere if needed, keep the before and after labels clear, and then select that audio file here.
Does the waveform measure whether the second pass is quieter?
No. It displays windowed sample peaks, not a matched loudness comparison, frequency analysis, or LUFS result. Recording conditions and perceived sound still need careful human review.
Why should I check the Reddit composer first?
Available media options vary by community. Confirm that your intended place offers a suitable video option, then inspect the uploaded MP4 with your title and setup notes. Preparing for Reddit does not check or submit anything there.
