From pottery questions to teaching decisions
Instagram Comment Organizer
Separate repeated wording from related pottery questions, then decide which comments need a reply and which deserve a clearer demonstration.
Use the Comment Question Organizer with Instagram selected for text you already have. It does not retrieve comments or connect to an account. You supply the comments, review mechanical suggestions, and write the teaching plan yourself.
Choose one teaching problem before collecting text
A pottery tutorial can leave several different gaps in understanding. Someone wants the clay name, someone missed the drying stage, and someone describes a cracked rim without asking a direct question. Treating all three as requests for another tutorial loses the distinction between missing information and a process that needs to be shown. Begin with a narrow review question: what would make this particular pinch-pot lesson easier to follow? That gives the queue a useful boundary. It also stops compliments, unrelated requests, and comments from older projects from becoming an accidental production brief for the next week.
In our hypothetical case, a maker has supplied twelve comments from a pinch-pot demonstration and a later trimming demonstration. The maker wants to prepare two individual replies and one explanatory carousel. Those deliverables are decisions for a person, not outputs the organizer writes. The source labels Pinch pot demo and Trimming demo identify the supplied batches. They do not establish when a viewer watched, whether the same person commented twice, or how many people saw either lesson. Keep a separate collection note outside the tool if the review period and selection method matter to your interpretation.
Read enough surrounding conversation before preparing the input to understand references such as that one, overnight, or the second stage. The organizer has no surrounding post, image, or video unless you describe relevant context yourself. A question about the white material could refer to clay, slip, or glaze. Do not silently replace it with a more convenient question. Preserve the supplied wording and put your interpretation in a group note after applying the input. When the reference remains uncertain, the next useful action may be a clarifying reply rather than a confident materials recommendation or a new lesson.
Prepare a small, traceable comment batch
Paste one complete comment per line when the material is short and has no internal line breaks. Blank lines are ignored. If source labels or multiline comments matter, prepare the explicit comma-delimited CSV template with the exact lowercase comment header and optional source header. Quote a field containing commas or line breaks. A file downloaded from another service is not automatically compatible; this is not a native Instagram export importer. Check the header and record boundaries yourself. A caption copied above the comments should not become an extra comment simply because it occupied its own line in a document.
The input accepts at most 300 nonempty comment records within a 1 MiB source limit. Each comment can contain up to 1000 Unicode code points and 20 explicit lines. A source label is single-line text with an 80-code-point limit. These are separate constraints, not a reason to cut a longer comment into fragments and count each fragment as another response. For an oversized batch, choose a clear review boundary and keep separate projects. For an oversized comment, retain the original elsewhere and decide whether a clearly documented, relevant excerpt is suitable for this particular review.
Remove unnecessary personal details before entering text. A pottery learner might include a phone number for a class enquiry or details about a private commission that have nothing to do with the lesson. Local processing does not make those details useful to a teaching queue. The organizer processes supplied text in the browser while ordinary site assets load; it is not a completely offline website. It neither secretly uploads the input nor automatically saves a private project. Decide what is appropriate to include now, and later inspect the notes and raw comments again before giving any export to a collaborator.
Read repeated wording without erasing its variants
The grouping key uses NFKC normalization, English-locale lowercase conversion, and trimmed, collapsed whitespace. It does not remove punctuation or understand equivalent meaning. For example, Which clay is this? and a version with extra spaces and different capitalization share a key. Which clay is this without the question mark remains a separate group. What clay did you use? is another group even if you would answer it with the same information. All original variants and occurrences remain preserved. The grouped view reduces repetitive review work without replacing the original text with one supposedly improved or representative audience voice.
Build a checkable twelve-record example. Enter three capitalization or spacing variants of Which clay is this?, two variants of How long before trimming?, and seven other single comments. Make those singles What clay did you use?, Which clay is this without punctuation, Can I use air dry clay?, My rim cracked, What glaze is that?, Do you fire before glazing?, and Love this little pot. The result should contain nine grouped items and twelve raw occurrences. The first group accounts for three occurrences, the trimming group for two, and each of the seven remaining groups for one occurrence.
That result does not mean nine distinct interests or twelve distinct people. You may have copied the same comment twice, or one person may have posted several times. Even legitimately repeated wording does not measure demand without a collection method and a denominator. Use the counts to estimate review work: one answer may address three occurrences of the same wording, while two different clay questions still need separate contextual checks. If you decide both clay groups belong in one carousel brief, record that editorial relationship manually. Do not describe it as semantic clustering performed by the tool or discard the smaller group.
Use optional topic rules as a first sorting pass
You can leave keyword rules empty and assign topics manually. For this lesson, a small optional rule set might be Materials: clay, glaze and Process: trimming, fire. The tool permits up to eight rules, with a label of up to 32 code points and up to eight literal terms per rule, each limited to 40 code points. Matching is case-insensitive with word or phrase boundaries. These are vocabulary checks, not regular expressions, material recognition, or expert judgement. A rule cannot establish which clay body appears in a video or whether a proposed process is appropriate for a different material.
One matching topic supplies a suggested topic. No matching topic leaves the item Unsorted. Several matching topics also leave it Unsorted, with the matching topics available for review instead of an arbitrary winner. Add How long should this clay dry before trimming? as a separate test after saving the twelve-record example. It contains a Materials term and a Process term, so its ambiguity needs a decision. Perhaps Drying deserves a manual topic of its own. That decision should follow the explanation you intend to prepare, rather than whichever keyword happens to appear first in the comment.
Inspect matches for misleading context. I did not use glaze contains the literal word glaze but is not necessarily a glaze question. Likewise, a rule for dry will not act as a general vocabulary model for every expression about drying. Keep rules few enough to understand and read Unsorted as a useful review list. A manual topic correction can override the suggestion and survives subsequent rule edits. If you later rename your teaching categories, revisit those overrides deliberately. Reapplying a revised rule set does not mean every earlier human assignment has automatically been reconsidered or brought into the new editorial structure.

Apply the input and check the suggested question kind
Typing comments or editing rules creates draft input. Press Organize comments to apply those edits; pending or invalid drafts disable exports and annotation editing. Correct and apply the draft, or use Restore input to return to the applied dataset. Import CSV is different: after confirmation, a valid file is applied immediately, with no separate Organize comments step. Notes remain on groups with matching normalized keys; export scope resets explicitly to All groups. In the pottery example, add the drying test as a deliberate new revision: the twelve-record totals describe the earlier applied batch, not the expanded thirteen-record batch.
Question suggestions look for a visible question mark or one of the fixed English question starters. This is a reviewable heuristic. Which clay is this without punctuation can still be suggested as a question because of its opening words. My rim cracked may be suggested as a comment even though the maker reasonably wants to help. A rhetorical question can receive a question flag without requiring a factual answer. Read each item and use the manual Question or Comment override to reflect the work you intend to do. The tool does not infer a viewer intention from punctuation, tone, or the selected platform.
Annotations belong to normalized wording rather than the row position. Applying a revised batch keeps annotations on matching groups and asks for confirmation if annotated groups would disappear. That helps when new spacing variants arrive, but a genuinely reworded question can become a new group. Before replacing the input with a later batch, save the project and inspect the proposed changes. Do not assume a status attached to What clay did you use? will transfer to a new sentence about choosing a clay supplier. Similar subject matter is not the same grouping key, and an earlier answer may not address the new request.
Turn the queue into replies and a carousel brief
Use Open for work that has not been resolved, Planned when there is an actual next step, Answered after a suitable response has been given, and Ignore for items you deliberately exclude from the working queue. These are manual workflow states, not observed Instagram activity. In the example, the maker checks the material label before writing the clay reply and keeps the group Open until that check is complete. The note can say Confirm exact product from studio record; then draft a short materials reply. No answer appears automatically, and a planned reply has not yet reached anyone.
Give the carousel a narrower job than answering everything about pottery. The trimming group suggests a demonstration of readiness rather than a universal elapsed-time promise. The maker might plan four panels: identify the stage, show the surface being assessed, demonstrate a small trimming pass, and explain what the demonstration does not establish for other materials. Record which supplied questions informed that brief and what the maker still needs to verify. This is a hypothetical production choice, not technical firing or drying advice. The comments identify an explanation gap; they do not supply the evidence needed to fill it accurately.
Assign the two direct replies separately from the carousel. A glaze identification question may need a product check, while the cracked-rim comment may need a request for more context. Put owner, next action, and any review date in plain language in the note field; these are not dedicated task-management fields. Once a brief is ready, use the Content Calendar Generator to allocate preparation time in a separate plan. Re-enter the selected teaching topics there. The organizer does not generate carousel slides, transfer tasks into that planner, schedule publication, or mark a group Answered when a draft merely exists.
Separate the visible list from the handoff scope
Search and topic, kind, or status filters change the view only. If you filter to Process, that does not silently restrict the next export to Process. Check the group boxes you intend to share and explicitly choose Selected groups, or choose All groups when the whole queue is appropriate. Select visible is useful after filtering, but still inspect the selected-group and raw-occurrence totals. In the original twelve-record example, choosing only the clay group with three occurrences and the trimming group with two means two selected groups and five occurrences. It does not mean five individual recipients or five planned content items.
CSV, TXT, and copy contain the full chosen scope. CSV uses one row per group, including its representative comment, sources, occurrence count, kind, status, topic, and note. It is a grouped handoff, not a separate row for every raw variant. The standalone JSON project instead saves the whole applied project, including raw comments and annotations, within its 8 MiB limit. Choosing a small selection does not turn that full-project save into a minimal public extract. Keep JSON for a trusted person who needs the complete editable queue, and use a deliberately scoped handoff for someone reviewing only the carousel.
The PDF visibly previews the first ten groups in the chosen scope, with full comment and note text rather than silently shortened sentences. Its JSON attachment contains all groups in that scope, including those beyond the visible preview. With Selected groups, it excludes unselected raw comments and notes; it must not contain a hidden full-dataset attachment. Check the scope summary and omitted-preview count before sharing. A large PDF can be refused at the 20-page or 20 MiB bound rather than quietly truncating text. Use full-scope text or data exports when that happens, and still review every included field for private information.
Close the teaching loop without inventing a result
After replying, return to the applied project and record what actually happened. A useful note might say Material identified from studio record; reply posted manually; carousel still awaiting demonstration photos. Keep the clay group Answered only if that wording received an adequate answer. Leave the process group Planned while the demonstration is unfinished. If the carousel explains trimming but not a particular drying concern, retain that unresolved issue rather than treating publication as blanket completion. The queue is useful because its states reflect decisions someone can explain, not because every item has been moved out of Open by the end of a session.
When another batch arrives, compare the question wording and source context before deciding that the new lesson worked. Fewer supplied questions could reflect a smaller collection, a different topic, or a shorter review window. More questions might indicate interest, confusion, or simply more copied records. The organizer has no reach, watch history, viewer identity, or independent outcome data. Its topic chart counts grouped items, not audience importance. Keep a short qualitative review: what explanation changed, which later comments still need clarification, and what evidence is missing. That is enough to improve the next brief without dressing a small local queue as performance analytics.
Save the current JSON before leaving because there is no project autosave. Give the file a recognizable lesson and revision name, and keep the public reply text separate from internal notes. For the next production round, return to the Instagram-context organizer and start with the smallest unresolved teaching problem. If the recurring burden shifts to supported account actions, timing, and activity review, SMTasker is a separate product to evaluate. The free organizer remains the place for a local manual question queue. Its CSV is not a direct automation import, and choosing an Instagram context never grants the tool account access or permission to answer for you.
Questions about Instagram Comments
Will it combine every Instagram comment asking about the same clay?
No. It groups normalized wording, not equivalent meaning. Case and whitespace variants can group together, but punctuation changes and paraphrases can remain separate. All raw occurrences are preserved.
Can I turn a cracked-rim comment into a question task?
Yes. Review the text and manually change its kind to Question if that fits your queue. Add a note requesting the missing context. The heuristic does not diagnose the pottery problem or write a reply.
Does a topic filter limit my carousel handoff export?
No. Filters only change the view. Select the relevant groups and choose Selected groups explicitly. Standalone JSON still saves the whole applied project; a selected-scope PDF attaches only the selected scope.
