Your growth report
Observed change and linear goal estimate
When might you reach your goal?
These are scenarios, not predictions. They apply 75%, 100%, and 125% of your measured daily net pace to the gap from your end count to your goal.
How the numbers work
See what changed, not just where the count stands
One follower number gives you scale. A starting number and dates tell you whether the account moved toward your goal and how quickly.
Net audience change
Subtract the starting count from the end count. A negative number shows that the audience became smaller during the selected interval.
End count - starting count
Percentage growth
Divide net change by the starting count and multiply by 100. If you started at zero, a percentage change is undefined rather than infinite.
(Net change / starting count) x 100
Weekly and 30-day pace
Divide net change by the exact number of elapsed days, then multiply that daily net by 7 or 30. The 30-day figure is a standard interval, not a calendar-month total.
(Net change / elapsed days) x 7 or 30
Reading the estimate
A target date is a planning aid
Suppose an account grows from 2,500 to 2,900 followers in 30 days. That is 400 net followers, 16% growth, and about 13.3 net followers per day. At that straight-line pace, the remaining 2,100 followers to a 5,000 target would take about 158 more days.
That date only makes sense if the future pace resembles the measured period. Content, seasonality, profile changes, advertising, and how long the interval was can all change the result. For that reason, the tool shows slower and faster scenarios beside the observed one. It also includes a separate percentage-growth illustration, which assumes that the proportional daily rate compounds. That model can become unrealistic quickly, so use it as a contrast rather than a promise.
What to record next
Keep a small log of dated audience counts. Add notes about publishing, engagement, campaigns, and any major change in reach. After another week or month, check again with the latest interval and see whether the pace held up.
For content response, pair this result with the Social Media Engagement Rate Calculator. Audience growth and post engagement answer different questions.
Platform guides
Use the same calculator with platform-specific context
The math stays transparent. The interpretation changes: a YouTube subscriber is not a Reddit subreddit member, and a LinkedIn Page follower is not a post impression.
Instagram follower growth
Connect net follower change with Reels, profile visits, and the content people discovered during the period.
TikTok follower growth
Understand how short-form discovery spikes can distort a simple weekly pace.
YouTube subscriber growth
Measure channel subscribers while keeping viewer behavior and video performance separate.
Facebook Page follower growth
Compare Page growth with content reach and reactions without confusing the metrics.
LinkedIn Page follower growth
Use Page follower change, visitor activity, and audience fit for a better business review.
Threads follower growth
Put follower gains beside replies, reposts, and conversations that bring people back.
Reddit profile follower growth
Keep profile followers distinct from community size, post views, and upvotes.
Snapchat Public Profile growth
Review follower change with Story and Spotlight activity for your Public Profile.
From measurement to a repeatable routine
Use the trend to decide what to run next

FAQ
Follower and subscriber growth questions
What is the follower growth rate formula?
Subtract your starting count from your end count, divide by the starting count, and multiply by 100. Write down the dates as well as the percentage so the result has a clear time window.
Can I measure growth from zero?
Yes. Net growth and the daily or weekly pace still work. Percentage growth does not have a meaningful starting denominator when the first count is zero, so the tool labels that result unavailable.
What if my follower count fell?
The calculator shows negative net growth and a negative growth rate. It does not invent a future date for a higher goal until the measured net pace becomes positive.
Is the goal date a prediction?
No. It is a projection from two points. The slower, observed, and faster dates show how sensitive the answer is to pace. Short intervals and one-off spikes deserve extra caution.
Why can the linear and percentage-growth dates differ?
Linear growth adds the same net number each day. Percentage growth adds the same proportion of a growing base each day. Compounding can create a much earlier date, especially when a brief spike supplies the starting rate.
Does the PDF include my inputs?
Yes. It contains your platform, both dates and counts, measured growth, a chart, goal scenarios, the formulas, and a short review plan.
Does SMTasker receive the numbers I enter?
No. The results and PDF are created in your browser. You do not need to connect a platform account.
