The TikTok lesson explains a follow/unfollow routine for a niche audience. It starts with the quality of your own profile: a notification may bring a visitor, but the bio and recent videos give that visitor a reason to stay.

FOLLOW THE WALKTHROUGH

What happens in the video

Define the audience first

The presenter uses a beginner-workout account as the example. Instead of random people, the proposed sources are followers of creators with similar content. Check whether those creators actually attract the people you want to reach; a shared topic is a starting clue, not a guaranteed match.

Configure Follow sources

In a TikTok Follow automation, Sources uses “follow users from target account followers.” Enter one source username per line and add the names. The tool will look at that audience, while the action itself occurs through TikTok on the connected Android phone.

Review the schedule and run

Settings has hourly and daily action ranges, time between actions, and active days. Values shown in the video belong to an existing example account and should not be copied as universal safety limits. The animated phone sequence illustrates the mechanism; consult Results for actions actually completed.

Make Unfollow a separate decision

The Unfollow tool uses SMTasker’s history of people previously followed by its Follow tool. A minimum wait period avoids immediate reversal. The recording shows “do not unfollow followers” switched off, so anyone who wants to retain people who followed back should explicitly enable and verify that option. Unfollow has its own limits and schedule.

Judge the outcome in two places

SMTasker Results and activity logs show what the tools did. TikTok analytics show profile visits, followers, and engagement. Unfollowing changes the accounts you follow; it does not remove someone from your followers. If visits do not convert, improve the profile and videos before simply raising activity.

WATCH FOR THESE DETAILS

Check this as you follow along

  • Make the TikTok profile worth visiting before automating discovery.
  • Enter source usernames for their followers, not for a blanket random audience.
  • Check the minimum wait and “do not unfollow followers” setting explicitly.
  • Set independent schedules and limits for Follow and Unfollow.
  • Compare dashboard actions with TikTok visits and engagement rather than action count alone.

AFTER WATCHING

Put this into practice

Start with an audience you can explain, watch a small first run, and review whether visitors engage with your content. The related Instagram Follow tutorial shows a different AI-assisted targeting example; the principles should still be checked against each platform’s rules.
