Add Social Accounts in SMTasker: Auto-Sync or In-App
Once a phone is connected, SMTasker needs to know which social accounts you want to manage. This tutorial compares two paths: syncing accounts already signed in on the device and adding accounts within the app.

Connect the Android phone and check which social apps are already logged in. The video presents auto-sync first, then the Add Accounts wizard for accounts that are not already available.
FOLLOW THE WALKTHROUGH
What happens in the video
Use auto-sync for existing logins
When SMTasker detects a supported social app already signed in on the connected phone, its account can appear in the dashboard without entering credentials again. The presenter points out the Valid status. Verify the username and platform; a visible account is useful only if it is the account you meant to automate.
Open the Add Accounts wizard
For another account, the presenter chooses Accounts → Add Accounts and selects the social platform. The wizard allows adding one account at a time or pasting multiple entries, one per line. The video shows username and password as the required fields, with optional details for account checkpoints. Handle any credentials and recovery information as secrets.
Assign the right phone and app instance
The next step maps each account to a connected device and app package. This matters when a phone has cloned copies of a social app: the original and clone may contain different sessions. A clone must be present and synced before it can be selected. The video suggests a simple one-account-per-instance setup for clarity.
Review and wait for login
The summary lists the accounts and their device/package assignments before Finish Adding Accounts. New entries may show a pending login state while SMTasker completes work through the phone, then become Valid. Do not schedule a campaign for an account that has not reached the intended valid state.
WATCH FOR THESE DETAILS
Check this as you follow along
- Read the exact username after auto-sync; do not assume the first detected account is correct.
- Treat passwords, 2FA secrets, and recovery email details as sensitive.
- Match a cloned app package to the correct account and phone.
- Wait for Valid rather than treating the wizard’s final screen as proof of a completed login.
- Give a newly added account time for ordinary use before heavy automation.
AFTER WATCHING
Put this into practice
Once the right account is Valid on the right device, use the first-actions tutorial to create a small tool. If an account is missing or pending, inspect the phone app and assignment before changing campaign settings.
