Run Your First Automated Posting Campaign: Getting Started Part 6

Posting needs more preparation than a single engagement action. This longer walkthrough covers building a first phone-based publishing campaign, from the content and captions you provide to scheduling and reviewing the result.

Get set for this lesson

Have an Online Android device, the correct social account, and a few media files you are allowed to publish. The video builds a media folder before creating a Publish automation, because an empty campaign has nothing to post.

FOLLOW THE WALKTHROUGH

What happens in the video

Prepare a media folder

The presenter opens Content → Media Folders, creates a named folder, and reviews optional cleanup rules: deleting media after a number of uses or after it has sat unused. Upload a small set first so you can verify filenames, formats, and the destination account.

Write and review captions

The upload review screen can apply a caption to multiple files. The walkthrough also shows caption variants, individual file edits, and AI-assisted caption controls. One AI path works from a prompt; image-aware generation can inspect an image. Do not assume an image model has examined a video file. Review every generated or spun caption before adding the files to the folder.

Create one Publish automation

In Automations → Add Automations, choose the platform, account, and Publish action. The presenter begins with one instance and keeps it stopped while editing. Settings include a posts-per-day range, active days, a fallback caption, and choices such as a location or wall versus story destination where supported.

Attach the content source

On Sources, choose Publish from Media Folders and select the folder you prepared. The source must be enabled. The Random option changes whether media are selected randomly or in order. The video also shows an Instagram-specific repost source that requires a separate external API key; it is not part of the basic media-folder path.

Start and inspect publication

After the source and settings are checked, the automation status is switched on. Results can show the date, source, media, caption, location, and resulting post ID. Statistics charts the volume, and Summary includes preparation, selected media, completion, or errors. Inspect the actual social post as well as the dashboard entry.

WATCH FOR THESE DETAILS

Check this as you follow along

  • Check each file and caption before enabling a publishing tool.
  • Confirm the media folder is selected and its source switch is active.
  • Review the account, destination, days, and posting range in the saved automation.
  • Random selection changes content order; it does not create new media.
  • If a post fails, use Summary and the phone’s account state to narrow down the cause.

AFTER WATCHING

Put this into practice

For a first campaign, publish a small, reviewable batch and inspect the posts on the destination account. Edit captions or folder content before scaling the schedule. The video’s example rates and provider options reflect the recording; current controls should be verified in your dashboard.
