Get set for this lesson

Start with one connected Online device and a valid social account. This longer lesson demonstrates a Like automation and then a separate Follow automation; its values are examples to inspect, not universally safe limits.

FOLLOW THE WALKTHROUGH

What happens in the video

Choose a first action

In Automations, the presenter selects Add Automations, chooses a platform and account, and reviews action groups such as engagement, content, growth, and viewing. A Like tool is created first. Keep its status stopped while deciding where it should act.

Set timing and engagement mode

The Settings tab contains hourly and daily action ranges plus active days. The video also points to engagement modes labelled Just Browsing, Open to Interaction, and Want to Connect. They alter the pattern of activity; none should be treated as a guarantee against platform restrictions.

Compare source types

In Sources, the Like tool can draw from specific users, account search by bio or username, hashtag searches, or Explore. A hashtag needs the # character. The source rank is a relative selection weight; the video’s 800 and 200 example illustrates an approximate 80/20 split between two eligible sources, not a promise about outcomes.

Start and build the second tool

Only after reviewing the account, sources, schedule, and device does the presenter start the Like automation. A Follow automation is added separately and can reuse relevant settings, but it has its own action and should be checked on its own merits.

Read the evidence of a run

Results shows individual actions and timestamps. Statistics provides volume trends, while Summary holds the technical activity and errors. The Home overview can show the device connection, running tools, and recent activity. A running status is useful, but the actual results and phone state are the better verification.

WATCH FOR THESE DETAILS

Check this as you follow along

  • Verify the selected social account before starting either tool.
  • Choose source types that match the audience you intend to reach.
  • Treat rank as a weighting between sources, not as a daily action limit.
  • Read Summary when Results is empty or the phone stops acting.
  • Begin with a small run that you can inspect on the connected device.

AFTER WATCHING

Put this into practice

Once your first Like or Follow tool produces the intended actions, compare its Results and Summary with the social app on the phone. Change one source or timing choice at a time if the outcome is wrong; Part 6 covers publishing, which uses different content preparation.
